List of files and visuals associated with this text.

The figs are a group of large house plants. They grow
best in an east window and require some shade from summer
sun in bright locations. Some figs tolerate low light
situations. Keep the soil evenly moist and fertilize at 2-
week intervals during periods of active growth. The ideal
temperatures are 62 to 65 degrees at night and 80 to 85
degrees during the day. Repot in late winter or early
spring. Wash the leaves with water and a soft cloth when
they get dusty. Pruning may be done in the spring.

Propagation for upright types is by air layering and
simple layering for creeping types. Other methods are leaf
bud cuttings and stem tip cuttings.
